Adobe Acrobat is a family of application software and web services developed by Adobe Systems to view, create, manipulate, print and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF).
Acrobat 4.0 was released during April 1999. It included:
* Support for PDF version 1.3
* Support for Public key infrastructure (PKI) and digital signatures
The first download is the Acrobat 4.0 CD-ROM. It includes the Adobe Acrobat 4.0 installer, Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 installer, and some extras.
The second download is the Acrobat 4.05 CD-ROM compressed with StuffIt 5.5.

Thank you, mrdav. This is my all-time favorite version of Acrobat before the bloat. It never nags about opening PDFs made by newer versions of Acrobat, and it still manages to open most. Its Distiller will also embed Type 1 subsets without them needing to be installed in the system Fonts folder. Very nice.
Don't worry, MTT, I always upload all my files to the internal server (eventually) provided they are under 400 MB. This one is in the "To Upload" folder on my Desktop awaiting my attention.
Would you mind archiving this one here too, mrdav? In case mega goes the way of the rest, in the not too distant future (if the CD image is less than 400 MBs compressed of course)...
