A vector based drawing program.
Top download link: Included are 8 floppy install disks which seem to be in DiskCopy 6 format. Dutch language, version 5.0.
2nd download link: English language, version 5.0.1 (likely a bug fix release). These disk images are in Disk Copy 4.2 format made from original DD 800k floppy media, of 7 disk image files and compressed using Stuffit 3.6 for greater backwards compatibility.
MD5 checksum & filename: c800a72837c32119faafad52aab5f715 *a-illustrator-501.sit
With a standard install, version 5.0.1 places several postscript font families into the "Adobe Type Folder" located inside the installed Adobe Illustrator 5.0.1 folder. These being:
Adobe Base 13
Adobe Garamond
Adobe Wood Type 2
Bellevue
Berthold City
Berthold Script
Carta
Copperplate Gothic
Gill Sans
Goudy Text
Stencil
Tekton
System 6 or later, 5MB or RAM, and about 12MB or hard disk space.
Version 5.0.1 requires SSW 6.0.7 or higher. Note: Although Adobe Illustrator 5.0.1 will run with Apple System Software version 6.0.7, using SSW 7 or higher is advised.
68k coded, this software will run OK on PPC Macs including Sheepshaver, but re-draws vector graphics very slowly due to no emulated 68k FPU on PPC (Sheepshaver included).
Optimized for 68040 Macintosh this software is best employed on Centris & Quadra Macintosh and flies on Basilisk II if emulating an '040 Mac.
If installing version 5.0.1 onto Basilisk II, make sure FPU settings (if any) in the Basilisk II GUI are enabled before commencing your installation. The installer needs to detect the presence of a built-in FPU (maths co-processor) to install certain files.
Read the install set's "Read Me" document inside of Install Disk 1 for more information, prior to installation.

Well,Thanks so much!!!!
The above download links have been activated & are now working.
@katakefalos: New or fresh uploads are never available immediately. It requires an Admin to manually move files to the DL server, it can take a week or so before they'll get around to doing this. Until then you'll hit the "NoSuchKey" error message.
1st as well. It's the well-known NoSuchKey error, is it?
Well the second file is in a dead link. Please fix it.Thank you.
Great findings !
Yes. I've to remember this, thanks.
Geez i "thought" it was german. Google told me it was german but who said i should believe google 100% anyway? Thanks for the note. Should i change the about pict to "Adobe Licentie Gebruiker" then? Or what would be the correct way to say "Adobe Licensed User"?
Also something unrelated from that but related to some of your posts. Americans express their ideas often with slang, and for example, they say someting like ".... but it was allright tho", which is slang for though. I am under the impression that every time you post "thought" you really meant "though"
The screenshot above shows dutch version, the file also contains this one.
It's an interesting language, thought.
I have the English version floppy disk set of this, in original media. I'll add it to this page shortly.
The 2nd screenshot above "about_illustrator.png", is generating a "The requested page could not be found." error for me.
