Agent Audio is a handy little tool that lets you change the sounds in applications and games.
You can backup the programs sound-set before fiddling with it, in case you ever want to revert the changes. Agent Audio's documentation boasts that it provides a safer option to sound customization in comparison to messing around in ResEdit (or Resorcerer).
It can also be used to get all the sounds out of a program/game ready to export into more modern and durable formats for use elsewhere. Simply export sounds to the 'SSW 7 sound' format, and use a program like SoundApp to convert it to whatever file format you choose!
PPC and 68k version finally available!

Thank you mrdav! I have updated this page accordingly!
There is a copy of version 1.2 on the MacAddict Disc 19 in the Graphic & Sound folder
My research pulls up that the final version of Agent Audio is 1.2, a PPC and 68k version both exist. I have searched everywhere, and cannot find it. This is an excellent program, along with SoundExtractor. Would be nice to have the final version of this program though for archival purposes.
Mmm, SoundLeech was the killer utility for pulling sounds, whatever resource format they were in, out of apps and documents. Or was it SoundExtractor. I still have it somewhere. iTunes could convert it's output to mp3.
I seem to remember pulling some sounds from Patton Strikes Back for my old Motorola v3i. Just as an alternative to that frog.
There are some sound effects from some old games that were just crying out to become a notification tone on my Blackberry. This program was the first step on a fiddly yet rewarding process
