Host application requirements:
- Adobe Photoshop 4.0 or later (includes Photoshop 6)
- Macromedia Fireworks 2 or later (all filters work as "live effects" in Fireworks 3)
- Adobe ImageReady 1.0 or later
- Deneba Canvas 6.0 or later
Runs fine in Photoshop 7.0.1 in Mac OS's up to 9.2.2, but only under a native classic Mac OS. That is; not in Photoshop 7.x under OS X.
[Workaround] For owners of Macs that are able to run classic apps in Mac OS X Classic mode only and have Photoshop 7 installed:
• Start Classic and install "Eye Candy 4000" into the Adobe Photoshop 7 "Plug-Ins" folder.
• Right-click the "Adobe Photoshop 7.0" app's icon and choose "Show Package Contents"
• Inside of the package, open the "Contents" folder, and then the "MacOSClassic" folder.
• Inside of the "MacOSClassic" folder is the classic "Adobe Photoshop 7.0" app; Make an alias of this and place it anywhere convenient. e.g; your Desktop.
• Double-clicking (or dragging graphic files onto) the alias will launch the classic version of Photoshop 7, giving access to these classic only filters.
• Run the classic version of Photoshop 7 in Classic mode, whenever you want to use these plug-ins.
The above workaround should apply to most classic only Photoshop plug-ins with Photoshop 7 under Mac OS X up to 10.4.11.
Eye Candy 4000 was carbonized for full OS X compatibility in 2002. If you have that version, please upload it here.
