This is required to run carbonized applications in the classic Mac OS versions mentioned, 8.6 to 9.2.2, not required for Mac OS X, because carbonized applications are Mac OS X native.

This release of CarbonLib delivers improved performance and reliability for Carbon-based applications on Mac OS 8.6 and all Mac OS 9 releases, including Classic.

Archived, just in case Apple puts offline this file.

I've installed this version in Sheep/Mac OS 9 yet. The original CarbonLib version was 1.0.1 there.

"... including Classic" sounds true, in case you tick 'Run in Classic Environment' in the Information window of the application (available in Mac OS X only) .
