This is version 1.0.2, while it has been reported newer versions do exist:

A serial number is written in the manual.
From the Readme:
CD Directory is a cataloguing product for CD-ROM users created by Connectix. It allows CD collections to be catalogued into the 'CD Library' on the Macintosh Desktop.
Browsing through the library is like browsing any other Macintosh volume, except the contents are the CDs which have been catalogued. The complete file and folder structure of the CD is maintained.
The files and folders in a catalog can be renamed or repositioned and the folder views can be changed. These changes are maintained, unlike on a CD.
When an attempt is made to open a file in a catalog a prompt to insert the CD is given.
In emulators, it seems to catalogue real CD-ROMs only.

You're right: http://www.disktracker.com/
This one sounds a lot like DiskTracker.
I used this for a while, years ago, but some Incompatibility forces me to remove this software.
Can't remember what another application was incompatible to CD Directory, though.
