This Control Panel allows you to have the frontmost application utilising more CPU time, therefore running faster. I also have the 1.0J version, which I believe is more recent. I will post it here if asked (and I can find it!).

I have addded an archive which contains CPU Doubler as well as Cron Manager. I found this archive among my files; I never touched it. It might be an original archive made by the developer of CPU Doubler as Cron Manager was written by the same firm.
Hi CB.
I thought for a moment that that 1.0J version may well be Japanese?! I'll check my CD catalogue and see if I can find it tonight. PS. It only really controls the multitasking niceness, so remained fairly useful up to OS X. Quality coding in practise!
Cheers.
I like this utility and have used it in the past on most of my pre-OSX Macs. As far as I could tell, it runs fine up to OS 9, but looking at the age of the utility, it makes you wonder how safe its programming would be since it is a cpu-enhancing utility.
You mentioned you might have the latest rev. I tried purchasing the latest ver. a while ago but the order didn't go through -- do you still have you 1.0j version handy? I'd love a copy if you do..
I'd sure like to compare it with my 1.0! Have you tried both and if so, have you noticed any performance differences between versions (maybe the version change logs may say what changed)?
Thanks
CB
