DivX Player will allow to play DivX 3.11 alpha movies on your mac OS 8.6 - 9.0. It includes DivX Player 1.0b10 and Windows Media Player 6.3 for Mac. It works perfect on SheepShaver. If when opening a video the audio is messed open "Movie" > "Doctor DivX", select the movie and it will create a mov file, open that with DivX Player (Don't delete the original because the mov file is just some sort of patch).
PS: To avoid the expired message change the date to 2001.
