I have to correct myeself: Ih have tested DjVu again on Netscape 7.0.2 - as a matter of fact it does work on this browser as well as on Netscape 4.8. Netscape 4.8 opens up much faster than Version 7.0.2, however, and needs less RAM.

Tried the plug-in with Netscape 7.0.2. This time the installer installed the plug-in; however, the DjVu menu did not show up in Netscape. Now I found a website which says that for Mac OS 9 DjVu only works with IE 5.0 and Netscape Navigator 4.5 - 4.7:

Try Netscape and Mozilla

Installer refuses to install on iCab and Classilla. According to several web sites the Mac OS 9 version of the plug-in only seems to work with IE and Netscape. Did anyone try Mozilla/WamCom?

Graphic Converter 6 also offers a free DjVu plug-in: http://www.lemkesoft.com/content/165/plug-ins.html
