Emulation
Guides on emulating older applications

From the floppy disk label: The personal mathematical equation editor for typeset quality equations in your word processing, page layout, and presentation documents. Legacy documentation can be found here.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

The documentation states it works with Mac OS versions 6 and 7. I have verified that it works with Mac OS 7 on an LC630 and with Mac OS 9 on an iMac (PPC G3).

YW. I've since installed this on SSW 6.0.8 (Mini vMac - runs fine on this too) and it also brings up the "expired" notice (then runs anyway, regardless). In SSW 6 it gives you more setup options tho', such as for configuring fonts and setting your ps or inkjet printer output.

Its a great program as is. I like the choices of output, esp. as .eps which makes the output very usable in programs like QuarkXpress.

BTW. Its output seems to be print-centric that is; it doesn't look so hot on screen, but if printed (to hard copy or to PDF) then you get to see what it should look like - great.

Thank you MikeTomTom. I take your point about explaining about what to do with each item. I did not think to do that as I simply copied the original floppy disks with a couple of additional info files added. Regarding the dialog box that the program is too old, yes, I get that too on my old Mac...don't know why. I prepared the images on an LC630 running Mac OS 7, and yes I did use MacZip. Thank you again for your compliment.

Edit: Changed 'xxx 7' to 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User

Thank you for this excellent upload. I can add, it runs perfectly on Basilisk II (SSW 7.1.1) too. By "excellent" I mean, thank you for taking the trouble of saving this in Disk Copy 4.2 format and zipping into a classic Mac OS compatible .zip format - MacZip is the only (Classic Macintosh) zip utility I know of that can do this correctly, so I must assume this was also what you used Smile
[Edit] Checked and confirmed under XP - XtraStuf.mac was in there (MacZip only). Cool

By runs "perfectly" on Basilisk II, I mean that when starting up the program, it tells me that the time period for this program has expired - then it starts up and lets me edit a page anyway. Other than that it appears to run perfectly (I haven't tried it on a SSW 6.x as yet).

Also. info on what you should do with items in each disk image could be useful (as there isn't an installer). For example: in disk one you should move that (only) folder to the System's Preferences Folder.
