This control panel is for Mac OS 7.5.2 through 7.6.1. It unlocks four secret features that were included in these systems, but left inaccessible by Apple:
- Command-Delete moves selected items to the trash
- Command-R reveals the original item that an alias points to
- Control-dragging an item makes an alias of it
- The "zoom rectangles" window-opening animation can be turned off
In particular, the Command-Delete shortcut is much quicker than dragging items to the trash with a laptop trackball or trackpad.
