A SheepShaver compatible version (which runs in Mac OS 9.0.4 as well)
can be found at MacintoshGarden/apps/iMovie 2 v2.0.1 and MacintoshGarden/apps/iMovie 2.1.2
Version 2.0.3, an unstuffed DiskCopy 6.3.3 image of the complete CD. (Stuffing it resulted in virtually no space savings at all. It is in .bin format however, to protect it from PC's.) It will run on a computer without FireWire, but you won't be able to input any video.
Second download link is the iMovie 2.1.1 updater.
Third download link is the German iMovie 2.0.3 CD-ROM .toast image, compressed with zip.

From Wikipedia.org:
"iMovie is a proprietary video editing software application which allows Mac users to edit their own home movies. It was originally released by Apple in 1999 as a Mac OS 8 application bundled with the first FireWire-enabled consumer Apple model – iMac DV. Since version 3, iMovie has been a Mac OS X only application bundled in the iLife suite of Macintosh applications.
iMovie imports video footage to the Mac using either the FireWire interface on most MiniDV format digital video cameras, the USB port, or by importing the files from a hard drive. From there, the user can edit the video clips, add titles, and add music. Effects include basic color correction and video enhancement tools, and transitions such as fade-in, fade-out, and slides."
CompatibilityG3 300MHz or faster, OS 9.1, built-in FireWire, DV device for input. Highly recommend 1024 x 768, 128MB RAM and several free GBs of hard drive space.
Comments
Really, don't be unfriendly to your Mac hardware,
don't replace it with a newer one,
as it will be offended then.
thank you so much! my ibook is happy like before!
d/l mirror is available now.
I cant seem to access this file! Which is a shame since I loved using it on my iBook 366 mhz Firewire. It was wiped clean recently
I add Update to 2.1.1 version. Look above.
Admins, there are spammers, annie and pinky are available. Please remove this.
Stench of canned small pieces of ham, pinky?
I work at iMac G3 350 Mhz and 512 Mb RAM.
Work pretty good.
Correct number of version
I have to say i am running this on my classic mac software machine iBooke G3 clamshell and it runs awasome. i do not have the fire-wire model but it still get the job done. I do not recommend running this app below the following requirements:
PowerPC G3 333 MHz or higher
128 MB of ram or higher
4 MB of video memory or higher
anything below this would probably run horribly.
This iMovie work good. I tested it at Mac OS 9.2.2, PPC G3 iMac.
Application some scream for firewire port. Because must to have, if you want upload movies from video camera.
I have the iMovie 2 that runs in OS 9.0.2 or later. The iMovie version is 2.0.1 on the original CD. I will upload soon to my mediafire account.
