Thanx for the suggestion, Balrog. I've tried various versions of NetScape and MSIE with different degrees of success, but none has worked as well as Classilla. It displays the web pages well, doesn't crash the emulator, and doesn't whine continuously about JAVA.

Yeah, and I wonder why Microsoft didn't continue making its later browsers like this one,
This is one of the VERY FEW nice products Microsoft did even by today's standards

I can't stand IE regular versions and Firefox, they're so damn ugly and slow,
SAFARI is nice but it has a lot glitches (Win Versions)
and the new Safari is ugly and requires a 64 Mb video card to work at its full,
(I only have 32Mb video)
the only one that really works for me and is fast and nice is Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.5,
unfortunately, Netscape has been discontinued (but I'll keep using it until it really dies)

I love the look of this one, Microsoft perfectly adapted it too the look of the macintosh computers of that time, e.g. PowerMac G3 b&w. Still okay to view most websites, unless they don't spit millions of flash / java applications at you Smile

I haven't been able to get this one to run in Sheepshaver. As soon as the start page is about done loading, the emulator shuts down completely.

@Dada: Classilla is the newest browser available for Mac OS 8.6 and 9, and work is continuing on it. It's based on the Mozilla 1.3 codebase with backports and bug fixes from Mozilla 1.6.

I recommend getting Mozilla 1.2.1. It's the last version that was compiled for Mac OS 9, if I'm not mistaken. It's quite good at rendering sites accurately, especially considering it's rather old.
