From the documentation:
IPSMac is an application that will patch an IPS file with any ROM that you own!
What is an IPS Patch you ask?
From ROMHacking.net:
(IPS Patches are) a file that contains information on how to change data of a ROM image. (ROM) Hacks/Fan Translations are distributed as patches because the distribution of pre-altered ROM images is illegal due to several reasons. There are a few formats for patches like IPS (Which is the most popular format), PPF and NINJA, which can be applied with appropriate tools, however ROM hackers also often write small executables that patch the game on their own.
Regarding emulation on the (Classic) Mac platform, we have the following emulators: Silhouette (for SNES), RockNES (for NES), Genesis Plus (for Sega Genesis), and TGEmu (for Turbografx-16/PC-ENGINE). These are the only emulator's I'm aware of though, if there are more out there, please update this list (with links too, for reference).
All that said, here are links to get Fan Translations and ROM Hacks.
Fan Translations from ROMHacking.net (Make sure to select FULLY PLAYABLE under STATUS so you get complete translations for your favorite games on your favorite platforms)
One more thing, I Love Native! Pro 3.1.1 reports that IPSMac 2.1 is a FAT Binary (meaning it can work on both 68k/PPC Macs), I've only tested this under Mac OS 9.2.2. If it indeed does work on any Mac OS below 9 and/or works on 68k, please report back and edit this page as necessary.
