iText is a styled text editor from Japan which holds the unique distinction of being the only free application for the Classic environment that exports text to RTF (images are lost in the process). Unlike other similar programs, iText is intended to be more like a word processor rather than just a plain text editor. It can be optionally upgraded to a pro version which is similar to LightWay Text, another program by the same author. There is also a Java PDF library called iText, but both projects are unrelated.
