Additional Software Included on the CD:
The "SuperMac Extras" folder contains utilities and applications that bundled and pre-installed with SuperMac, including: Asanté's "NetDoubler", which increases ethernet performance; Micromat's "TechTool Pro", a system diagnostic suite; and Casaday & Greene's "Conflict Catcher 3", designed to optimize your system, analyze your extension set and prevent extension conflicts. Some of these are pre-installed on the SuperMac system, others have been provided to install if you wish to do so. You will also find FWB's "Hard Disk Toolkit Personal Edition" and "CD-ROM Toolkit" plus SuperMac E100 Performance Card driver and SuperMac nPOWER MP driver.
Also included is the complete manuals of the Supermac S900 and J700 User Guides, plus user guides for NetDoubler, TechTool Pro, Conflict Catcher, Turbo 128M, PowerFPU, Hard Disk Toolkit and CD-ROM Toolkit (PDFs).
Caveat: Some of the supplied 3rd party software will run only on SuperMac hardware. e.g. TechTools Pro
CompatibilityThis CD boots perfectly on other Macintosh computers including Basilisk II emulator. The installer however refuses to install the System Software, as it detects that BII is not a PPC Mac. Hense, it still good to run on SheepShaver.
Comments
I am enjoying them, FW.
These I've never seen before, and are (or were) impossible to find. Thank you for archiving them.
Thanks for pointing this, MikeTomTom. I hope you enjoyed the Umax discs I uploaded here.
Fortuna Wave, you have been archiving many new additions over the past week or two. This is just one of them

Tho' I think you need to change above under Compatibility heading, about this CD booting perfectly on other Macintosh's.
On Sheepshaver, I needed to disable the Extensions; "FWB Toolkit PE" and "Mac OS Licensing" from both the boot CD image and also once installed, from the System's Extensions folder on CD & hard drive.
These check the machine hardware and cause Sheepshaver to otherwise crash while booting up.
Once removed then SheepShaver is OK. This wasn't an issue with the earlier 7.5.5 Umax CD (this hardware check is a new addition with the 7.6 CD install).
