Apple updated Mac OS 9 four times during it's reign: 9.04, 9.1, 9.2.1, and 9.2.2, but the only updates you really need are the last three, if your vintage Mac supports them. But Apple has removed the links to those updates from their web site (except North American English), so unless everyone is exclusively a native English speaker, the update for their language is not readily available.

But I have acquired these updates for all 16 languages that Apple produced: Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Danish, Deutsch (German), Finnish, French, International English, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Nederlands (Dutch), North American English, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish.

The 9.1 update requires you to have Mac OS 9 - 9.04 installed; the 9.2.1 update requires you to have Mac OS 9.1 installed; and the 9.2.2 update requires you to have Mac OS 9.2.1 installed.

@Tanner1294: Thank you for making available a space to DL the US OS 9 updaters. I also dislike Mediafire and your links are an excellent relief. I'm also shocked at the 404, I'm hoping that it will be a temporary glitch, only.

However. There is a huge problem with your uploads. The files you've uploaded are Disk Copy ".smi" (Self Mounting Images). These, being classic app executables, do not travel the internets well and do not get to their destination in one piece. Infact they are rendered fubar. This is due to the executable part being stored in a resource fork of the file which gets stripped off (discarded) as it passes through *nix & Win servers...

These files need to be archived 1st before uploading, as Stuffit Deluxe or DropStuff ".sit" (not ".sitx), or archived as ".bin" or ".hqx"

Assuming your ".smi" files were intact before you uploaded them, could you please do this again, archiving them beforehand? Sorry to be a bearer of bad tidings.

Thank you very much for the downloads. Apple recently took away the North American English downloads as well (404 errors). Since I dislike how MediaFire opens 3 windows and runs like trash on a 1.67ghz G4 machine I took the liberty of uploading the English updates for OS 9 to my personal cloud with unlimited bandwidth and one click downloads:
