This is the only known Mac OS 9.2.2 Install CD ISO that will Boot and Install Mac OS 9.2.2 to a PowerMac MDD G4 (FireWire 800 Model) and other OS X Only G4s.
Versions (CPU 5.9, Mac ROM 10.2.1 Modified)
It utilized the famous iMic Modified ROM (10.2.1 Modified) for OS 9.2.2

It will Boot unsupported G4 systems, however, the functionality of Mac OS 9 on these systems will vary from very good to none at all depending on the system, many systems still need to be tested and results logged, so please test and let us know

Please visit: Think Classic https://www.thinkclassic.org/ he has additional steps to get the colors past 256 on unsupported iBook G4s
You need to make some nvram changes in Open Firmware to make the System Folder appear as bootable on G4 iBooks, however, the Radeon 9550 in that iBook is not supported by any OS9 extension so it gets stuck very early on booting up to a grey screen. Earlier iBook G4s can boot but only to 256 colours.
It cannot boot my 1.33 GHz iBook G4. The System Folder appears as "unblessed" when the CD is mounted on it. So I think this book ever booting to 9.x is out.
