MacAdvocate.cdr_.sit: First version of MacAdvocate CD-ROM
MacAdvocateCDv2.ZIP: Second version of MacAdvocate CD-ROM
This is the Apple MacAdvocate CD-ROM, handed out at the January 1997 MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, which contains all of the "Why Mac?" material, demos, product info, system updates, games, TV commercials (including 1984), etc.
Credit goes to user Temporary Joe for this one.
Bob Kiwi update: I have a different version of the same CD. Similar to the version at http://www.forcedperfect.net/gear/software/macadvocatecdrom/
The only difference is the Free Stuff! and Comments folders has been replaced by What NeXT, Dreams Contest, and Goodies (which merge the previous Free Stuff! and Comments folders) folders and slightly changes to the CD contents. This one also includes the PC sector of the MacAdvocate CD, which is for Windows users.
CompatibilityRequires QuickTime, probably 2.5 at minimum, and Mac OS 7+

Looks like I have found something similar, only the exception is the cover:
MacAdvocate 1997 on eBay
Please mirror both editions of MacAdvocate I. I have the first edition however I have too bored to upload it back to Mediafire, wasting my bandwidth quota.
Let's see the differences of the two MacAdvocate I CDs:
The first one is created and modified in December 1996, but without What NeXT and Dreams Contest, and with Free Stuff! and Comments folders. Uncommonly, it does not have the PC sector of the MacAdvocate CD.
The second one is created and modified in January 1997, the Free Stuff! and Comments folders has been replaced by What NeXT, Dreams Contest, and Goodies (which merge the previous Free Stuff! and Comments folders) folders and slightly changes to the CD contents. This one also includes the PC sector of the MacAdvocate CD, which is for Windows users.
I added a link to a version I had of the disc which is the slightly different edition as well as a CD scan and picture of the root of my CD
I say it's very ok!
My copy is Spring 1997. I'm sorry I don't have the other version, but it's OK, right?
...or must be the newer version is, maybe February 1997.
Yep, that's a grab from the actual disk image. It looks pretty much exactly like I remember it. But I lost my copy a long time ago.
EDIT: On second look, I definitely remember the What's NeXT and Dreams Contest folders as pictured on Forcedperfect. Apparently there were slightly different copies of the disk.
I take it from the screen grab you got it working, right? Cool. Oddly, the picture is different from Forcedperfect.net (for instance "Welcome from Guy!" is just "Welcome" and the folder "What's NeXt" is missing. Still, though, it's close enough, right?
