Emulation
Guides on emulating older applications

MagiC Mac X is an emulator of the Atari ST/TT computer line running the MagiC multitasking TOS-compatible operation system, allowing Atari users to run their software on top of Mac OS X.

Several hardware components typical for the Atari ST/TT computers, as blitter and sound chip, are simulated, thus giving MagiC Mac X a high compatibility to existing Atari ST programs. It support besides the traditional screen resolutions of 640x400 in monochrome mode, 640x200 in 4-color mode und 320x200 in 16-color mode, arbitrarily chosen b/w and color resolutions up to 16 colors.

Additional features:
• Printing is supported.
• file access to disk image container files or to host file system (including floppy disk access) is supported.

Magic Mac X is the successor of MagiC Mac and is a Carbon application running only under Mac OS X.
There is also a Windows-based version named MagiC PC

Thanks for the feedback !
MagiC Mac X 2.x seems to be still sold (appropriated version for newer Intel Macs) but not the older PPC-only version MagiC Mac X 1.x.
I now clarified this in the description above.

If MagiC Mac X is still offered for sale, & it kind of looks like it is (IIGS_User may confirm), then we can't host it here. No problem with the demos tho' - looks like to be a very nice emulator.
