Improve your keyboard skills with Mavis Beacon 5.
This is an educational program, to teach people how to type, the visuals are adequate for such a program and the audio is annoyingly patronising.
There are versions for PPC and 68k.
This is version 5, the modern day contemporary on today's systems is version 20.
CompatibilityThis is not the full install set, its been uploaded in a used condition. PPC version missing some System Extension libs. Use 68k version of Mavis on PPC.
Runs OK in Basilisk II, probably works in SheepShaver (68k version only)

Was this software "used", pre-installed to some Mac before it was uploaded here? If so, the packager may have missed packaging some essential lib files from the System Extensions folder etc.
I don't have this software so am just guessing.
[Edit] I DL'd this to check and yes its not original installers, its been pre-installed and is missing some essential lib files for the PPC app.
Workaround: Run the 68k version instead, it runs OK on PPC Mac and doesn't look for or require that missing lib.
when I try to use the ppc application, I get the message that "microsoftmfc40lib" can't be found. How do I fix this? I'm using os 9.2.2.
Thanks.
