Metacreations Painter 6

    An art studio at your fingertips! If you've considered venturing into the world of painting, look no further, Painter 6 is here. With all the new gadgets and the new setup, anyone can learn this program and have months of fun working in it. You'll never have to buy another paint brush, just make your own. If you enjoy making greeting cards but have had problems with other software, then Painter 6 may be the solution. You'll have so much fun, your family will probably think you've gone on vacation. You don't have to go to art school now, just open up the program, go through the tutorials, read the PDF files, and experiment. Experimenting is a great learning tool, one used by many artists. There are some fantastic Painter artists out there on the web that you can learn from as well. In fact, as Painter increases in popularity it is becoming easier to use based on feedback from the users themselves.

[Note]: The current archive listed on this page is for the German language version of Painter 6, only.

The ".sit" archive expands to a folder containing the installer app and documentation. There is also a hidden "invisible" folder named "PC-Ordner", which contains a full Windows OS (German Language) installation for Painter 6.0. This archive must have originally come from a hybrid install CD.

Please upload the English or other language versions to this page if you have those versions.

Footnotes:

    On another note, I love this new Painter 6 program except for the fact that I've had to reinstall again and again and then discovered there was a patch that I had to download to fix the numerous glitches. I have come to the conclusion that Painter 6 probably works better on a MAC. Guess I'll have to get one.
