What is METAL?
METAL is a 100% free extended BASIC language metacompiler.
METAL stands for META Language.
METAL includes a rich command library that features tight QuickTime integration, amazingly fast Sprite System and sound, graphics, speech, math, system and file I/O routines.
5350 lines of hypertextual documentation are accessible at any time from the "Help" menu. Also, there is a printable METAL Reference with a small tutorial and a brief description of all the METAL's functions.
Metal requires a PowerMac with at least 32 MB of RAM.
Mac OS 8.6+, QuickTime 4+ and Speech are recommended.
