MkLinux was a project begun by the OSF Research Institute (now Silicomp RI) and Apple Computer to port Linux, a freely distributed UNIX-like operating system, to a variety of Power Macintosh platforms running on top of OSF Research Institute's implementation of the Mach microkernel.
MkLinux was officially announced at The 1996 World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). A free CD containing a binary distribution of MkLinux was handed out to the attendees.
This is one of three Unix-related projects at Apple, A/UX and Apple's current OS- OS X are also Unix related. Much code used in this project made it's way to OS X.

Done - Thanks, mrdav
I'll remove it. The mklinux.org site looks to have been dead for some time. PowerPup's MF link in the description area above still appears to be active (0 DL's of this software since 2011) so it should probably be reconstituted & archived here internally at some stage in the near future.
It might be advisable to just take that link down.
Apparently MkLinux is actually not available anymore. When I clicked on the link, it gave me a 404 Not Found error
