From the time before Symantec transformed to crap these fine utilities:
The Norton Utilities for the Macintosh consist of an installation program, three application programs (Norton Utilities, Speed Disk and Layout Plus), two desk accesories (KeyFinder and FastFind), two control panel devices/startup documents (FileSaver and DiskLight) and one startup document (Directory Assistance). The Norton Disk Doctor, UnErase, Format Recover, the Norton Disk Editor, Speed Disk and Layout Plus can all be accessed from the Norton Utilities Main Menu screen, which appears when you launch the Norton Utilities application. When installed, KeyFinder and Fast Find can be accessed in your Apple (desk accesory) menu. DiskLight and FileSaver are accessed via the Control Panel, which can also be found in the Apple menu. Directory Assistance is a startup document and has no independent interface as such: it modifies the appearance and funcionality of the Save, Save as..., and Open dialog boxes used by almost all Macintosh applications.
