Philatelie CD #1

Issue #1 of the "Philatelie CD" published by the German Postal Service, covering stamps used in West Germany.
Edition 2001/2002 also lists stamps used in Berlin (West) and stamps used during allied occupation after the WWII.

• Background informations and philatelic description to the particular stamps
• Runs on Windows 3.11/95/98/NT4 with Pentium 70 MHz and Mac OS 7.6 to 9.2.2 (PowerPC)
• The first manual link above contains the manual that has been included with the 1998/1999 edition.

About the Edition 2001/2002 (second download above):

• Over 3,600 stamps listed in digital form. This issue lists stamps used in:
  • West Germany between 1949 and 2001
  • Stamps used in Berlin (West) between 1948 and 1990
  • Stamps used during the allied occupation between 1945 and 1949 and
  • Stamps used during the french occupation of the Saarland/Germany between 1947 and 1959
• Background informations and philatelic description to the particular stamps
• Runs on Windows 95/98/NT4 with Pentium 166 MHz and Mac OS 8.1 to 9.2.2 (PowerPC)

Editions of this publication were known as "Philatelie CD", later known as "Philatelie DVD", but has been completely discontinued in 2010, regarding the Catalogue of the German National Library.

Hints:

• Runs directly from CD-ROM, no installation required.
• If you want to maintain your own collection of stamps, you must install the application onto the hard disk drive.
• Because of copyright, the application requires the CD in the drive.
