Emulation
This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

Picture compression software/hardware utility.
Especially useful if you had the digital signal processors to get the maximum speed out of the program.
(I did not know anyone who could afford the DSP's at that time.)
The "software" compression seems to be working with many kinds of cpu's, 68020 or better.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

Default install doesn't seem to work well with Basilisk II or SheepShaver.
Custom install does.

The MacII's seem to die, one after the other. I suppose you are right, it's due to the electrolytic capacitors,
becoming tired and beginning to leak.

For my MacII, the main problem was to get startup power to the power supply.
Those machines do not boot without a proper DC input, unfortunately.
In mine, I soldered in two fresh 3,6V batteries, but that did not help, as there was no voltage to be found at the power supply.

My workaround:
Press the reset switch.
Open your Mac and open the power supply.
Locate the circuit where the 7.2V should reach the power supply.
(I think, it looked like some kind of relais.)
Take some 9V block battery and a piece of wire.
Give your power supply a very very short flash of 9V with the correct polarity.
Cross your fingers and there it is: Startup Sound!

This did work for one of my MacII's, the other one was absolutely dead.

Hey thanks alot for posting this software.
A few weeks ago I put out a request for it as I had a working IIci with a storm dsp card.
Since that post I can only say with extreme regret that the IIci started giving the click of death
and refuses to start up.
I think it may have something to do with the power supply or possibly bad caps on the motherboard.
I have downloaded the software anyway in the hope that I may get it going again.
Thanks again.
