Indeo Video 4 & 5
and QuickTime Components
BeHere iVideo, iPix, Microcosm, On2, Pulse 3D, Streambox, Zoomify, and Zygo.
Quicktime 6.1 was released for OS X in October 2002, and for Windows in March 2003. In April OS X got Quicktime 6.2 and Apple finally dumped 6.0.3 on Mac OS users. Whether it was deliberately held back from release to encourage uptake of OS X, or whether Mac OS development had slowed to a crawl because it was “zombieware”, the third-party developers outperformed Apple, since their optional QuickTime Components are time-stamped October 2002. Mac users with QuickTime 6.0.x could download the 6.1 extras by checking “Update and install additional QuickTime software” in the Quicktime Settings panel.
Until a couple of years ago. Now you get a
“Information received...is invalid. Please try again later”
message.
And Apple has blanked the QuickTime Components page on its website.
(Of course if you try and download these files for OS X you get a happier result
)
So here are all the components that used to be downloaded through the QuickTime Updater.* I’ve also included the Indeo Video extension, for convenience, though depending on previous install choices you may already have this file.
Files (General extensions)
Indeo Video [v. 3.22.24.09]
Indeo Video 4 [v. 4.4.0]
Indeo Video 5 [v. 5.0]
Files (Quicktime Component extensions)
BeHere iVideo [v. 2.0]
iPix Support [v. 1.1.1]
Microcosm Decode [v. 1.0.1]
On2-VP3 [v. 3.2.2.0.]
QTPulse [v.5.0.2.4504]
Streambox ACTL Component [v. 2.5A.003]
Zoomify Media Handler [v.3.0.3]
Zygo Video Basic [2.0]
While the QuickTime Components are optional extras, the three Indeo Video extensions are more in the important-though-not-essential category.
Indeo Video extensions go in the Extensions folder (just drop them on closed System Folder icon); however all the rest go in the QuickTime Extensions subfolder in the Extensions folder. You’ll have to drop them in there manually.
* Other QuickTime Component Extensions were available from various 3rd party vendors.

Usually you can dowload by clicking "Upload a screenshot or edit this page" , navigate to "qt6.1extrasmacosfloat.img_.hqx" and dl by left or right mouse click, depending on your browser.
This procedure is needed for all new uploads - easy enough, once you know.
I'd really like to try this download out. How long does it take for the "No such key" error to go away?
Great you care for archiving all those system additions, xeter.
Good to know the files are here, as more and more stuff seems to be discarded from the support servers.
Thanks to Meadi´s self-sacrificing work we can even make use of your files.
