Kai Brüning and Thomas Everth released the first version of RagTime for the Apple Macintosh in 1986. RagTime integrated word processing and spreadsheets into one program. The software was successful in the European Macintosh market right from its introduction. It found about 250,000 users in education, small and big business.
The program of version 1 was less than 400 K. Version 2 added colour, Version 3 greater spredsheets and charts.
Ragtime Classic is a low end version of Ragtime 2. The DC 4.2 images are compressed with StuffIt 3.6 Lite.
