I ran into a limitation and am hoping you have a work-around.
I have Retrospect Desktop 5 running in a machine dedicated to backups. It is connected to 3 clients.
The clients have gobs of disk space on them (video files, audio files, and large collections of fonts, clipart, etc.).
Backups take a long time (days) but eventually complete. But on my last run, I got a message in the operations log that the catalog was full (at 1 GB in size) and the backup failed.
Is there any way to continue using the current backup environment or is my only choice to start a fresh catalog and wait 5 days for the backup to complete?

Would an older version such as Retrospect Express 4.3 be less glitchy??
Added latest patches for Express, Desktop and Server "editions".

Yup. And I just encountered a BIG one - supposedly patched with a 5.0.2 update. Do you (that's a "general" you) have a copy of this (or ANY) v5 update that you could upload to MG?

This is serious software for everyone who frequents the forums, especially if you have invested in disk for backup purposes.
It's also something that I think we should find and store all the patches for, this product had some fundamental flaws and patches to fix them. I bought this and remember being disappointed by how unreliable it was. The patches fixed nearly all the issues Don't forget the patches for the Client version - which doesn't really do anything, but it lets another computer running the Server version access it and back it up.
