I've added another copy of Sound Designer 1.12. This time it's the EMAX version.
This one is a little different in that it's copy protection is still intact. You must run it from the mounted DiskCopy 6 image. If you copy it to the hard disk it will ask for the master disk.
Also, it will crash if you have more than 22MB RAM. The Emulator II copy doesn't.
While newer versions of Sound Designer will work on the Emulator II and EMAX, only these old versions allow you to control the sampler remotely via the Front Panel mode.
I found a couple of old copies of the original Sound Designer. There's Sound Designer 1.12 for the Emulator II and Sound Designer Universal 1.50. I've added them along with some shots of them running in Mini vMac.
Also added the manual and troubleshooting guide for the Emulator II edition.
1. Unpack the SIT with the modern Stuffit Expander (on a modern computer).
I used my MacBook Pro and it worked fine.
2. Rename the file-extension to a .dsk file.
3. Open the .dsk file with HFVexplorer, or *maybe* in MiniVmac as a virtual disk.
Now you can see the contents of the disk-archive.
Optional 4. Copy the self-unstuffing installer-file to a floppy, slide it into your 68k Macintosh, and (how straightforward) install the software by doubleclicking the application.

One way I got this archive file to open was to use File Typer and change creater to "ddsk" then Disk Copy 6.3.3 worked.

*Please say thanks if this worked for you ;-)*
Useless unless you have the right hardware
Someone uploaded an unstuffed file.
Re-uploaded now.
What kind of image is this? I can't get it to open. If it's DiskCopy format it needs to be made into binary (.bin) for the internet.
