The CD-ROM contains the bootable volumes (7.5.5, 7.6.1, 8.1, 9.1, 9.2.2), installer, manual, disk images and the software itself.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k PPC

* Color-capable Macintosh computer with minimum 640x480 display.
* System software version 7.5.5 or later.
* Drive capable of reading CD-ROMs.
* Minimum 5 megabytes of RAM above that required by the OS.
* Hard disk drive.

Version 3.0.6 is the last supported version that will work on 68k machines.

MikeTomTom,

No, I am using the number I see on the image without the date. My experience with TechTool is that the exact number that is required is built into each disc individually.

However, I checked with MicroMat®. 3.0.9 is not freeware or abandonware. They will include it with the latest version of TechTool for free, but it is not abandonware.

So I am planning to buy the newest version I can use and add $12.99 to get 3.0.9 on CD.

@wnlewis: You're not trying to enter the 2nd row of numbers too? Its a date of purchase I think, not part of the top row of numbers.

I was not able to use TechTool Pro 3.0.6 because the serial number in the image above does not work with the file that is downloaded.

Should I purchase a license from MicroMat®? Or can someone supply a correct serial number?
