The Grouch 2.5B1 is a system extension that sings and has Oscar pop out "Oh I love trash!" and "I love it because it's trash!" alternating every time the trash is emptied. This is older than the 2.5B3 that has always been around long ago. I have tested this on my PowerBook Duo 230 using Mac OS 7.6 and it works great! Does not work in anything newer than 7.6.1. Took me FOREVER to find this so ENJOY!!
The first download is version 2.5b1. The second download is a DiskCopy 4.2 image (compressed with StuffIt 4.
that contains versions 2.0b8, 2.5b1 & 2.5b3.
Runs in B/W and Color. Mac OS 6-7.6.1

Seeing this app here brings back some great memories. When I was a youngster, I would make 'new folder' after 'new folder' just to delete them and see the Grouch emerge from the bin and give me a little song. Great stuff.
Hey please can someone tell me how to install or manage this inorder to have it on my mini vmac emulator?
Very nice find. I was a couple of years too old for Sesame Sreet, but it was a shame The Grouch got censored in the German transcription.
Could it be The Grouch is tending to crash SheepShaver frequently?
Hehe. You have to have been around when this originally came out to understand that one. And just how BIG a thing it was.
great upload - don't install this if you have small children!!!
