The Unarchiver is a universal archive extraction tool for OS X. It supports many old formats, and if you have a format it doesn't support, file a bug and attach samples, and very likely support will be added.

I fully agree. MacGarden is an abandonware website not a freeware Mac OS X website based on the urgency of cultural preservation. There is no need at all to archive this here.

But shouldn´t that attesting be better off in a forum topic rather than in MG's 'Utilities' section? I myself do have this installed, amongst many other apps running under OS X in order to handle old archives and disks.

This has been up for discussion before, but I think this place is dedicated for Classic apps and games, and stuff for other/modern system is best presented/discussed in the Foras.

Beside this is still sold/developed so it can´t hardly be labeled as Abandonware, even for the modern systems.

I can attest to the usefulness of this program, and the responsiveness of its developer.

A Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger app. Does this belong here? The good thing about MacGarden is that one does not have to filter Mac OS X apps.
