Thumbs Plus

Thumbs Plus 3.20R (Macintosh) - A Thumbnail viewer plus editing tools and with extra features, too many to mention in this description.

Thumbs Plus is a fairly well known Thumbnail viewer program on the Windows platform. It almost got released for the Macintosh but the development ended while Thumbs Plus for the Macintosh was at its final beta stage.

This archive is the final beta and is a RC (Release Candidate). Its not crippled in any way, is fully functional and requires no password to install.

The makers, Cerious Software, had this available as a free download at their web pages (up until now, n years ago). It is the only Mac version of Thumbs Plus that I know of.

I have found (this RC) to be very reliable and is about the only decent Thumbnail viewer program for 68k Mac OS (includes a native PPC installer, too). And although some full graphics programs do supply thumbnail viewers as an addition. This certainly has the most features of any that I've used.

Thumbs Plus has advanced editing tools and can open a wide-range of graphics formats.

As Thumbs Plus for the Macintosh never made it to final release, I call this a true abandonware.

Architecture: 68k PPC

68k and PPC, Mac OS 7.1 to 9.2.2, 256 colors or better. Not compatable on 68000 CPU
