I bet that if we use a Mac II running system 6 it will work.

It does. I have it running under SSW 6.0.8 on the Mini vMac, Mac II port (8MB RAM, 256 colors) using the Turbo Cad with FPU option. I'll add a couple of screen dumps from this, here.

Sorry. I can see how my post is misleading. I meant that it can't be used on a machine with the rom that is 128k in size. That's the rom that the Plus used. The Mac 128 used a 64 kb rom. There is apparently some patches that Mac OS 7 adds that weren't in the rom until you get to the Mac II which uses a 256kb rom.

I bet that if we use a Mac II running system 6 it will work.

No, I mean I actually set up the System 6 version and it worked with 7, not 6. And the ROM I used with Mini vMac was a Plus, not a 128. No time right now, maybe later I can look at it in more detail. That screenshot is with Mini vMac and Mac OS 7.5.3 running that very version I set up.

I found an update readme on one of the disks. Apparently there is a bug with the program that makes it impossible to run on system 6 with a 128k rom or less. There is no fix at this time.

I didn't try the Mac OS 7 version. I guess I should have put that. I just tried System 6.

Hmm, I didn't have much time for this before so I didn't test it. I've just followed the instructions for installing it on System 6 and it didn't work, so then I used my Mac OS 7.5.3 disk image with Mini vMac and that same install of TurboCad fired right up. So maybe there's something not right in the instructions or maybe some detail we're overlooking.

Has anyone gotten this to work in Mini VMac? I tried and it just keeps crashing. I followed the instructions in the readme to install it and I get illegal instructions.

I used the version with out floating point support.
