TypesChange CM Plugin is a Contextual Menu Manager plugin which lets you change files' type and creator codes easily and quickly. It's freeware.

Edit: When used along with Sherlock, you can change the type and creator of all files of certain kind in your hard drive. Let's say you want all your jpgs to become Graphic Converter files. Search for ".jpg" and in the result window, select all files, control-click on one, change the creator to GKON and hit the OK button. All files will be changed.
