Corel took over the ownership of WordPerfect shortly after this release. Corel offered a free upgrade to registered owners. The upgrade did little else besides change the Finder icons and dialogs from Novell's to Corel's, the version number remained the same. Later, Corel released a patched "Corel WordPerfect 3.5e" for free, enabling WordPerfect to run on Mac OS 8.5 and newer. By then Corel had killed the development of the Macintosh version of WordPerfect.
This installation gives you a choice of US or Canadian English dictionaries.

Important: If you want to run WordPerfect on a Mac OS newer than 8.1 then you had better run the Corel "e" version of WordPerfect, with all of the patches applied: Available from the Garden Link here.
This software will run on SheepShaver, I have tested it OK on Mac OS 7.6.1 and 8.1. - Note: If the OS on SheepShaver is newer than 8.1 then, as for any Mac running an OS after 8.1, it is likely to be a problem.
This program has no issues if the Mac OS is a version from 7.0 to 8.1.
Comments
If you want the additional content this has over 3.5e, use the content from this package and the application from 3.5e. I've done this.
@senoirchippy enquires:
Which Mac OS are you running this on? You read the Description above, especially from the Important entry?
If your Mac OS is version 8.1 or older (Mac OS 7.0 - 8.1) then this software should be OK. If your Mac OS is newer than 8.1 (8.5 to 9.2.2) then you shouldn't be using this. Use the newer "3.5e" version of WordPerfect and any patches that apply to it, linked to above in the Description area.
I believe downloading 3.5e, replacing the application with that one, and patching it with the Mac OS 8 update fixes such issues.
have it on a physicall mac. its glitching and every time i start it the margins screw up any ideas??
I had the other Corel WordPerfect 3.5e but it had that bug which wouldn´t let me save my files,
until I installed the update (I think that fixed it)
but I think this is more stable,
I use OS 8.1
Try using the WordPerfect application from the 3.5e package, with the update applied, together with the other files from this. Probably will be much more stable in 8.5 and later.
Yep, this program is much better than I expected,
(best I´ve tried so far)
formating (like HTML) is alot easier, also the speech capabilities included are fun..
when exporting I first export the file in Word for Window 5x /Transfer the file as is to the Windows environment / and then I just open it like a regular file with Word 2003
as easy as that..!!
Well! I didn't expect this 1995 software to be that forwards compatible, Euryale
Thats good news and its also great that you like and can use this version of the program, too.
Thanks for sharing!
I use Mac OS 8.1 on basilisk and works perfect,
also I tested the export conversions for Word 6 then Word 2003 for Windows XP and it works fine .
Ah well, Balrog. I'm glad that you can at least do this when you need to - and that you pushed this one onto the server, too. Thanks.
I actually have a complete set, both CDROM and floppy.
I was getting tired of the broken links (and decided it's been a while since I last pushed files), so I just manually pushed them to the server.
@Euryale: YW - Well, this version is flawless for the OS's its compatible with. My disks for this are in almost mint condition. It was only the 2nd time that I have inserted them into a floppy drive since purchase (they have never been unlocked or written to).
I see the Download button now works, so I have removed the alternative D/L. Perhaps Balrog likes this one too, because that was a _F A S T_ fix!
Thank you,
yes, that worked,
I also use Corel´s version¨e¨ but I think it has a glitch, when I saved documents it crashed,
( I don´t remember how i fixed that) still, I´d like to have a flawless verion of this program.
@Euryale: Does for me, as of now.
See the underlined link in the Description above, "perhaps this link will do".
er.. download link doesn´t work.
I usually use the application from the 3.5e package and the other files from this version. That works best on OS8.1 and up, while preserving all the features.
I see, this is the unadulterated version... I think I like this better than the "e" version.
