It seems that IIGS User is either on holidays or is incapacitated in some way. I hope he is OK. However, don't we have another mod who can do the same clean-up job that IIGS User kindly does for us when he is available? If we do not have another moderator with the same access as IIGS User, then we definitely should have.

I'm inclined to do likewise. I've witnessed this happened to two earlier versions of MG and it's not a pretty sight seeing a likeable forum transform into a catwalk for cretins.
The spammers aliases can always be listed in this topic for an admin to deal with

Clockwise (Emaculation) might take care of this, as soon as his mod login is working again.
Maybe others had issues with mod login as well.
