Emulation
Guides on emulating older games

The fifth and last of Sierra's 3D Ultra Pinball series.

"Imagine a pinball machine emulating a full amusement park, and not just any park, but Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania, 'The sweetest place on Earth!'(tm)! Over 15 action-packed 'rides', plenty of special events include 'lights out' fireworks show, double multi-ball event, side tables, multiple flipper sets, and more!" --MobyGames.com

An OSX "Create Archive" ZIP of a Toast image of the original media.
This can be unzipped by any ZIP program. Also included is the v1.01 update from Sierra, compressed with Stuffit v5.5 before including it in the ZIP archive - so Windows users can safely get it to the Mac emulator.

Download from Mega.Co.Nz

Also in this series: Fastest Pinball in Space, Creep Night, The Lost Continent, NASCAR

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC

Min Req:
Mac OS 8.5.1
PowerPC 233MHz
32MB RAM
95MB Hard Disk Space
4x CD-ROM
800x600 256 colours

Plays perfectly under Classic on an MDD OSX 10.3.9.
Can also play from the CD (or mounted CD image) but can't save High Scores.

Untried in any emulators, but I'm sure I've heard it plays fine in SheepShaver. Update this with your experiences.

Is the file Mac/Windows hybrid?

It's been uploaded. You'll need to wait for it to get pushed to S3.

You won't be able to download it by FTP. This is because some people abused the FTP server (used it for their own warez). I have access to the FTP, and will fix it in a few hours.

Tried to download it myself, exactly as you describe. What can I do ?
Upload it again via the Web Page ?

Shall we try a Stuffit v5.5 format this time ? since I've trashed the original .zip file I created.

I see the zip file but when i try to download it the ftp client says ThrillridePinball.zip: No such file or directory.

macintoshgarden.org, I connected as anonymous.

Don't use the Mac OSX "Connect to Server ...", use ftp in Terminal.

62C ? My Macbook Pro runs around 80-90 C often with no problems! Smile But yeah, that is hot.

Yep, the first upload crashed, after experimenting with .sit and .zip, cooked my MDD and had a KP - first time in nearly 2 years. At restart the temperature was 62C. Nap mode and 10 minutes rest it was back down to 40C, then I started the HTTP upload again.

Restarting now.

@bertyboy: something failed. You can upload it via FTP to anon...@macintoshgarden.org and I'll take care of it.
