I can upload this in the next few days.
No download link?
Is "The troublesome disk image that wouldn't work" the internal one, and
could it probably replaced by the external Mediafire downloadable file?
This is another great game, very realistic, of the same caliber as F/A-18 2.0 Thanks for fixing this download MCP!
I've removed the non-working disk image from the page, though the mirror is still available. The PDF manual was actually taken from that image, since it was an Aztech New Media release w/o paper documentation. The working image is of the original publisher's version. I tried to upload it to the site itself but the page froze at the end of uploading.
ADD: I've now managed to upload the archive to the actual site. So if downloads are ever enabled...
I'm using classic environment and the image doesn't work either.
I COULD NOT get the image to work either, running under OS9. BTW, I do have the original boxed edition.
This is an Awesome Helo Sim. I have the Quick Reference Card, as well as the Official Strategies & Secrets Manual by Andy Reese. Could scan & upload parts, if anyone is interested.
Hind (by the same folks who did Apache) allows head to head flying with Apache. Up to 16 players. Hind is a much better sim.
Actually yeah, I tried that and I tried using that awesome Virtual CD Imager app too, but no luck. Haven't tried it on earlier OSes like 8.6, though.
It's funny; this looks like it was taken from one of those Aztech New Media collections, and usually those things aren't difficult to fool.
EDIT: I wonder if anyone has tried mounting it in an emulator on an OSX or Windows system; maybe it would behave differently in that situation.
Sorry if it's a dumb question, but have you converted the Disk Copy image to Toast format and mounted it?
Thanks for uploading, but I can't get it to work as it is with the DiskCopy image; it keeps insisting I insert the CD. Has anybody else had any luck? I'm using OS 9.2.2 on my G3 iMac.
