Its located on MacAddict CD 25/Sept 1998 in ":Software:Fun & Games:Battle for the Planets 2.1.1" I'm assuming that v2.11 & 2.1.1 are one & the same here.

If you don't have this CD in your collection its available at the Internet Archive (thanks to PowerPup for the MacAddict collection heads-up). On page 2 of the above link, locate "MacAddict #025 Coverdisc" and DL "MacAddict_025_1998_09.iso"

I'm hoping the above info is correct. I searched a MacAddict CD catalog and located the version 2.1.1 game as being archived on that particular CD. [Edit] It is correct (copied from CD, & uploaded to here, 2nd DL above).

Here is a link to the page for v2.11. Filename is bftp.hqx but D/L link is dead though.

Can you post the original link to the 2.11 version you found on wayback? If I have the original filename, I might be able to find it easier. Thanks for the upload!

The latest version that is listed on a Wayback Machine archive of the Misty Software web page is version 2.11. Alas, the file was not archived along with the page. If you have any version later than 1.0 please upload here. If you want a modern game in the same style, you can buy Battle for the Universe from http://www.mistysoftware.com/
