Bub & Bob is a Bubble Bobble clone.
Both SIT and SITX files are present here, if you're using Mac OS 8.6 or higher, use Stuffit Expander 7.03 (with Stuffit Standard) to unstuff SITX archives. If you have anything below that, use the regular SIT archive. DMG and Zip are for Mac OS X only.
Downloads 1 and 2 are the original Bub and Bob, version 1.7.3, the documentation says (if I recall) Mac OS 8 up to Mac OS 9.2.2.
Downloads 3 and 4 are extra third party levels for use with the original Bub and Bob.
Downloads 5/6/7 is the final version of Bub and Bob 2 0.981, Carbonized for use with Mac OS 8.6 up to Mac OS X.
Download 8 is Bub and Bob X 1.1.2 for Mac OS X only.
Download 9 was put up by the original creator of the page, and I have no idea if it's an earlier version of the original Bub and Bob, or if it's just emulator ready.
As a note, the start screen for Bub and Bob 2 under Mac OS 9(.2.2) does not work properly, however, this can be alleviated by just using the menu at the top and going from there, provided you kill full screen and run it in a window. This issue doesn't show up in Mac OS X (10.4.11 as tested), however. Why this happens is unknown.

Thanks a bundle for this, one of my favorites as a kid..
but bub and bob 2 uses bub and bob x's serial number. . .
This is easily abandon-ware
Bub and Bob 2 is now freeware and available on the creators site for download, and thats OSX native
This original isn't, presumably because no one browsing there would have a system capable of running it
So, a perfect MacintoshGarden candidate!
Well, although this *MIGHT* not be considered abandonware, this is a great piece of software.
If you want to be safe, you should donate to mcsebi before using the serial.
This is now a disk image, ready to use in emulators.
Thank you for uploading at all.
This may or may not work under System 6, the documentation doesn't mention OS requirements and i don't have anything old enough to find out myself
