What I meant to say originally was the file was missing from the server (i.e. even the edit trick did not work - EDIT: and neither did a direct url to s3.amazonaws.com/macgarden or macintoshgarden.org), not just that the d/l link was inactive. So I replaced the file. If the d/l link on the cover page still does not work after a week or so then so be it. I know that there are a number of files like that here, and we all just work around it...and that is fine.
Why not delete all the pages that include dead internal d/l links?
Sure, if the admins of this site could make the visibility of the inactive d/l links "disable",
that would also help to avoid some confusion of your kind.
