This game works with: Basilisk II,

F/A-18 Hornet Classic 1.1.2, another golden oldie. This one features detailed aircraft carriers cockpits, but is slightly hard to use. If it asks for a serial number use the serial number included as folder name in this download.

The second download is an updater to ver 1.1.3b1

This game was absolutely brilliant on my Mac Performa 630CD, with Mac OS 7. I eventually got good at it and could blow those silly MiG aircraft outa' that blue yonder! Landing was always tricky for me, though.

Version 1.1.2 works perfectly for me in SheepShaver Mac OS 9 with the highest graphics and sound settings. And after all, the game had the red "Accelerated for Power Macintosh" badge on the box. To actually be able to control the aircraft with the mouse, set Stick to Gravis Mousetick and check off Slow Stick Control.

I wouldn't bother with the update since, according to its notes, it doesn't fix anything terribly critical and is an unsupported beta. Also, keep SheepShaver updated. The latest TEST version as of now (at E-Maculation) has full-screen toggle and "cursor grabbing," which is especially helpful for playing flight simulators in windowed mode.

I can run it under Basilisk 1.42, but not under newer version. Under SheepShaver works too, although control with mouse simply sucks.

This game is a blast just getting skilled enough to land on a Carrier. This used to be one of my favorites on SSW 7. Great with a Flightstick Pro.

Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' with 'SSW 7' - IIGS User

Thank you for this very appreciated report! Smile

It sort of runs in SheepShaver. Running on the default settings worked. But the sound didn't work at all. And when I ran it on complex graphics it crashed the whole thing.

Worked in Basilisk for me also (I think that I uploaded that screenshot). I would test out in my SheepShaver, but the download isn't working anymore... nosuchkey and all that. Sad

Edit: I see the mirror! Will try!

I go this to run in Basilisk, but not in SheepShaver.
Could anyone test this game in SheepShaver, please?
