"In Fury of the Furries, you control a cute, round creature called Tiny, who must defeat "the wicked one" who has captured the King, and turned all the Tinies into mindless monsters. Fortunately your Tiny has special powers. It can transform himself into a swimmer, rock eater, fireball spitter, or rope swinger during its quest.
The game takes place on a huge island separated into eight regions: Desert, Lagoon, Forest, Pyramids, Mountains, Factory, Village, and finally the Castle." --MobyGames.com

Fury of the Furries is the original, Pac-In-Time is some kind of rebranded copy for Namco.
Anyway, this game is awesome!!!! Anyone who is a fan of this game, I strongly recommend checking out this very cool behind-the-scenes video of Kalisto studios in 1992! I was super stoked when I found it! See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7wv2u1PGgE
I also think Pac is more stable, unfortunately Furry has way more funny graphics imho...
Thanks mathieudel!
I suspected as much - I also found Pac In Time a lot more stable in comparison (I remember Fury didn't even launch on a few of my systems, where Pac did).
I just tried and actually both games are nearly identical. Except some graphics that has been changed, here are the two differences I noted :
- The credits page (only one in Furry, several in Pac) does work properly in Pac when emulated, where Furry's one appears and then disappears instantaneoulsy
- In Furry, you have to stop walking and then press down in order to chosse a furry. In Pac, there are two new keys that allows you to do so on the fly, really changing the game play
The first two levels are identical and I suspect all others are too, but I wouldn't put a bet on it.
Could someone confirm that this game is IDENTICAL to PAC IN TIME, only with furries instead of Pacmen?
This is one of the game that was bundled with the first mac I owned. I love it but find it quite hard ! My first Basilisk install was meant just to play this game on my PC, the PC version being crappy.
One of the first games we ever owned, and fondly remembered. I managed to get it running reasonably stably on 7.5.5/Basilisk and loved replaying it. Great gameplay (especially with the green one) and music, and love the references to other games and TV programmes (Cool Spot, The Prisoner, Lemmings, etc). The one let down is that there are so many bugs in the machine level (baddies getting stuck in places so you couldn't get past, doors not opening properly...) that I could never get to the very end. The first 80 levels are well worth a play though!
Very common crashes on original OS 9, be careful.
