Your task is to rescue the Lemmings across 120 levels of fast-paced puzzling. These creatures simply walk blindly through the world in the hope of reaching safety at the end of the level - unfortunately these levels include steep drops, gaps in the ground, barriers and rivers amongst other hazards.

2 games in one archive; all the disk images and manual scans are taken from the "Lemmings Special Edition Double Pack" released in the UK.
If anyone has disk images of version 1.5.2 of either of these games, please let us know in the comments section below.
The 4th download is a Disk Copy 4.2 image of the 12 level demo version that was advertised, and sold, as the Junior Edition.
These games are also available for DOS, Amiga and Commodore 64 among other platforms. You can get those versions and more at Lemmings Universe.

Made for better compatibility with Mini vMac.
Third link is equal to the first, repacked with Stuffit 3.5 for compatibility.
I have an iMac G3 PowerPCwith OS 9 and Lemmings works like a charm! But I can't play in Classic, so I have to restart in OS 9 (nothing bad about that, though)
Error type 10 crashes SheepShaver every time.
Same problem with the black cursor over here. Since using ResEdit ages ago, is there anybody who can point to how I edit the game to change the cursor's colour? Any ste-by-step guide?
If I open ONML with ResEdit, I guess I have to changes the numbers given in "crsr" (select and bracket show 202) or "CURS" (select and bracket show 68)?
Help is much appreciated...
It's a hoot on my SE/30
I had a black cursor in SheepShaver. ResEditing the green color cursor to white saved my day, too. This should probably be added to the patched version?
If anyone is interested, I have added the soundtrack for both games! Recorded by myself
Ohh very tricky! Will try next time (:
Hey, I had that the problem of a hard-to-see cursor for a long time too. I fixed it by editing the cursors in Reg-Edit, and making them more pronounced.
Hehe, great games! This site is really helpful for getting games for my iBook!
When I downloaded this a few years ago, sound cut out after level seven or so. But then I patched it with the Music file from the copy-protected copy of Lemmings. If anyone needs the "fixed" Music, I have it...
In my machine the cursor is darker. Maybe if I ran the latest update things might be different, but I don't feel like downloading 20 MB just to do a test. I'll remove the Mac OS 9 warning.
First screen shot re-uploaded running from classic mode. The cursor is very visible. In the last screen, I pulled the cursor off.
Note: This shot hasn't been zoomed or modified.
My eyes are fine, and it's not the monitor. I see the game exactly as it appears on the first screenshot on this page (drhdfgh.png). Where's the cursor on that image? Does anybody see it?
The cursor has been fine since I was 5yrs old!
I've used it on multiple OS's and not had a problem seeing it. Maybe your monitor needs adjusting or (not to be flip about it) your eyes checked!
Bright enough.
Just to be sure--bright green?
I get a Green Color cursor (Basilisk/ Mac OS 8.1)
I have no problem with that.
Can anyone confirm that this a Mac OS 9 issue--the cursor being dark? Because if it shows up the right color on previous OSes then we should put a warning about this on the compatibility field.
I think that's only a problem when you use it in classic. It used to be fine with a bright green cursor.
Well, there it is. I've uploaded my Lemmings package. I opted to stick to the existing Lemmings pages rather than try to make a new one and/or replace the old. See also Holiday Lemmings.
The games can be patched to do away with the security codes; in fact that's what has usually been uploaded on the web. (Though the 1.5.2 versions did away with them and only required one serial number.) What I'll do is keep the unmolested disk images separate and have the installed and patched versions in a separate folder so that people who download to play won't have to screw around figuring out how to patch the games. But everything will be there for people who want or need to tinker.
Surprisingly, replacementdocs doesn't have much for Lemmings. Odd for such a popular game across machines.
Still have the box and manual, but last time I looked in the box (it contains floppies / manuals for a few other games too now) I remember the manual being quite large (number of pages rather than A3 or something) with faint lemming pics in the margin used for the security questions, they were purposely faint enough so they wouldn't come up in a scan. I'd check replacementdocs.com before attempting to scan the manual.
v1.4.2 on floppies, came on 3 floppies (800K), perhaps it fitted on a single 1.4MB with a bit of compression in a later release.
I've got the install disks for Lemmings 1.4.2 and Oh No! 1.0. I believe the 1.5.2 update was available direct from the publisher for a fee; it was probably a floppy disk with the new program file.
It's okay if no one's got it; I just want to make sure we archive the absolute best of what's available.
No I don't sorry. This lemmings file Ive just added was from an original system CD. Hmm I can remember back in 2000 I once did have a lemmings manual with a floppy disk, and serial number. But I'm pretty sure it was 1.4.2 though.
I always keep a close eye on all my old mac stuff, so I think itd be long gone by now. There must be a floppy out there for 1.5.2, my version was probably copied from the original disk then just added to the OS CD instead. Very true, itd be great knowing that you're downloading Lemmings from its original packaging!
P.s Think I also might have a version update of Spin Doctor on the same CD.
Alas, I only have c1.4.2 of the original Lemmings game (on original floppy). It's quite hard (harder than usual anyway) to find the v1.5.2 update, it's not in any of my usual secret places / cover cd's. I shall keep looking. Let me know if the v1.4.2 install floppies are of any use.
"j damage 69", I'm just being a perfectionist... do you happen to have the floppies or original installer of Lemmings 1.5.2? If you do, could you upload it? These Lemmings games alter themselves the first time you run them from a writeable disk.
Also, if anyone has the 1.5.2 version of Oh No! More Lemmings, please let us know here on this page. I know it's out there somewhere; I've got the patch information for it!
I've got a great box set of Lemmings stuff I've already scanned and imaged for upload, but first I want to make sure I can include the latest possible updates. The set includes documentation for all the games in English, French, German & Italian, and it's got Holiday Lemmings 1994! I've also got a bunch of walkthroughs and cheats and patches collected to go with it all.
Once I get everything set I can figure out how to organize it with existing pages or replace them.
But it still gets lost in the dark background. I don't know how you people can play like that.
By the way, I like your new avatar, j_damage•69. I spent many quarters playing Metal Slug back in the day.
Maybe in a few decades that request will be perfectly normal, Attila, since scientists had already taken a first crack at teleportation. If you missed that news, it's archived at:

Thanks for uploading, I'll check this out this weekend. I scored a pretty good package of Lemmings stuff on eBay this week (I sold my beloved Atari ST to finance some purchases) but it doesn't have anything in version 1.5.2. Before I upload any of it I want to see what else everyone has so we don't wind up with a lot of needless extra pages. I've already looked over what's been available online and there's bound to be more, better versions out there.
Hehe, if anybody else can upload a turkey sub, I'd also be eternally grateful.
Oh well, it was worth a shot!
The cursor is actually dark green, have put the new version up.
This is one of the few games that I think the Mac version is inferior. On all other versions the cursor has a bright color and I always know where is it. On the Mac, it's black and gets lost in the background and that gives me trouble, specially when I have to click on different lemmings on a short period of time. I prefer the SNES version for this reason--and the fact that with saved states, I don't have to write down passwords. Those who can't play without the mouse should try the Amiga version.
Ok, I get it, so that's part of the puzzle.
Thanks!
You cant. Once you have assigned a worker to a task theres not way of undoing it. The only way to get passed a blocker to either blow them up or build a bridge over them, then only let one lemming through, quickly make another blocker to stop the others from escaping!
There are also other ways, when a lemming is digging forward you can assign them to dig either down or diagonal. Its only when they're blockers, you cant do anything anything else with them.
Hint: keep the shift key pressed if you know the level but heart (as I do), lemmings will start to speed up.
I never played this game before, I downloaded it, and it's fun,
but I have one question,
How do I get the lemmings to go back to normal walking Lemming , after have them to do something? for example the Blocker, and I want them to go again on their way.
what key should I press?
Ive got 1.5.2!! Came with one of my system CDs. I'll put it up when I got some time.
There were official updates to version 1.5.2 for the Lemmings games, which improved compatibility with newer machines. Also, some of the patch info available for these games is only for v1.5.2. If anyone has the updates or knows where to find them, please post something here!
Thank you!
Now I can help the Lemmings ^^
Hopefully, it should work now.
I like this game, but the Download link isn't working for me
