An early PacMan clone that features a compact Mac chasing the evil PC ghosts.
Now also includes MacMan Classic Pro v1.0, released in 1993. This is the colour version of the MacMan game.
Followed by Super MacMan II.
CompatibilityManMan:
Compatible with an early Mac or an emulator; it crashes on OS 9.
MacMan Classic Pro:
Switch to 256 colours before starting game, or it runs in black and white.
Runs on any colour Mac, from System 6.0.7 up to under Classic in OSX 10.4.
If you run on a 96dpi screen (flat panel) you may find it better to switch down the resolution before playing, it looks quite small on a 23in Cinema Display otherwise.
Comments
in mini vmac, the power dots don't change the PCs to eat-able. i also get some warning about the application doing something unexpected/abnormal. any help would be appreciated, this is one of my fave old-school mac games.
Whoops, didnt have my glasses handy
EDIT: noticed the color version...
Download now includes disk images, ready to use in emulators.
Colour version is called Macman Classic Pro.
I'll add it to this archive. Pulled from my BMUG PD-ROM from one of the summer MacWorld Expos. It's stuffed with shareware from 1994.
There is a color version available, I used to play this game heaps!
