A small western town is desperate for a gunslinger to clean out the 'garbage' that hangs out at the Saloon etc. What makes Mad Dog McCree special is the use of actual actors whose motions were captured and then used for the game. Watching incredibly untalented actors playing their roles is 90% of the fun - the rest is merely a reaction test in which you need to shoot the bad boys fast enough using your mouse.
The Mac version contains movie files for a small, medium and large sized monitor. (back in 1994 large was obviously something along 800 x 600 pixels resolution)
Use Toast or something else to mount the image and play. (no need to actually burn a CD)

Alright, I updated the description and added five screenshots from the actual Mac version (the ones before were not). Also, on a side note - MadDog runs absolutely fine on my TiBook G4 / Mac OS 9.2.2.
Thanks, have to try that...
You could try to set System Colours to 256 before you start the game. Else you could try Mac OS 7.6 which gives you QT 2.5 (I think). OS 8 might be a bit of overkill…
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
QuickTime 4.1 - do you think I should try with 4.1.2 again?
Check your version of QuickTime installed. Most versions else than 4.1.2 can´t run properly in SS.
My SheepShaver setup displays a white hole in the middle of the screen while running this game, but plays sound. So I assume at this place there must be some movie-like things?
Runs successful within Basilisk with Mac OS 8 installed.
Awesome upload! I've been waiting for a long time for this one to come up here, thanks a lot!
I loved the arcade machine. Though there is no lightgun for the Mac it still is fun if you're into '90s FMV games.
Was the second part also ported for Mac?
