Oberin is an online multiplayer RPG created especially for Mac users - even those who still run OS 9. It takes place in a persistent, ever evolving setting; your character may come and go, but the world of Oberin keeps turning online.
While there are many separate quests that can be completed, there is no ultimate goal: the journey is the reward. It's a fantasy world where the fun comes from interacting with other real players. You can join a group of fellow players to hunt for dragons, spend a quiet day fishing, meet a friend at the pub for a game of chess, or spend some time refining your chosen skills.

Been playing this one for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that it is a lot of fun, has a very friendly community and does indeed run very nicely under OS9 on my TiBook. It plays very Ultima Online like, which means less emphasis on action but on character building / community. And best of all, it is for free!
Looks a bit too wordy for my liking
Cool, I didn't know this one. Though I'm no fan of MMORPGs but the prospect of playing it under OS 9 is definitely a big plus. I'll give it a try
... anyone else playing Oberin?
